What is your "why"? What drives you to do this important work each day?
My "why" is being able to give African Nova Scotian students stronger voices, see their joy and laughter, and help secure a confidence within them that nobody can break.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
The connections you create with the students, making a positive impact in their lives and creating memories that last for a long time, these are the things that make my job rewarding.
What would you most like families to know about the role of Student Support Workers in HRCE schools?
That we are in schools to provide cultural, academic, and emotional support ensuring our students feel safe, valued, understood and prepared for success in school and beyond.
